Industrial Visit to GD Car Museum
Museums carry a rich heritage of the foregone times which transport
us to the past and make us feel so small in the course through the sands of
time.
Our Department organized a local Industrial Visit to the GD
Naidu Car Museum for all the students of the department from 30/06/2015 to
02/07/2015 with each class going on each day accompanied by the staff members
of the department.
The students were very enthusiastic and looked forward to
the visit. The students started the visit by seeing a video lecture about the
cars that changed the face of automobiles. The students went along the museum
and saw cars ranging from different eras like Ford Model T and cars from
Austin, Rolls Royce and Mazda.Miniature engines models were also on display.
The next one hour was spent looking at the models and questions were politely answered by the staff of the museum.
After the car museum visit, the students went to the GD museum
housing many inventions of the Great Late.Mr.Gopalswamy Naidu. The inventions ranged
from plasma orb bulb to different shaped mirrors.The students were awestruck and were reluctant to leave from the premises even after the visit was over. The IV came to an end by thanking the staff of the museum for their courtesy and the students boarded their bus with a heavy heart taking a vow to return back with their friends and family.
