Mr.A.R.Prashanth from Elite Gokart Team in association with the Automobile Engineering Department conducted an One Day Seminar on 31/08/2016 from 09.00 am to 04.00 pm. It was an eye opener for all the students of Automobile Engineering as he introduced them to all the aspects of vehicle building for all the SAE events conducted throughout India. Students learnt about all the concepts pertaining to BAJA vehicle design, Go kart design and Efficycle design. Students posed various questions to him and everything was answered up to the students satisfaction.

Mr.Nandhagopal , Marketing Executive, LS Dyna, Chennai gave a guest lecture on the Application and Usage of LS Dyna in Automotive Industry on 12th August 2016 from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm for 135 students of all the sections of Automobile Engineering. He emphasized on the importance of LS Dyna software and motivated the students to learn it as they have a major role in the upcoming years.

On Aug 12th 2016  Mr.K Balaji Sr. Engineer, Royal Enfield Oragadam,Chennai gave a guest lecture on the recent trends in Automotive sector for the Automobile Engineering Students of Karpagam University. 147 students from all the sections took part and got benefited.

Ambal Auto and Department of Automobile Engineering of Karpagam University conducted a One Day workshop on MPFI and CRDI engine Assembly and Dismantling for the students of Automobile Engineering on 08.08.2016. Mr.Sibimon, Principal of Ambal Technical Institute was involved with all the batches in asssembling and dismantling of the systems. All the students were actively involved in the assembly and dismantling  process. The students found the session to be involving and useful to them.

A NDT seminar was conducted for all the students of Automobile Engineering on 15.07.2016 from 2.00 am to 4.30 pm at MBA seminar hall. Students were exposed to all the various methodologies of NDT and were motivated to pursue courses in NDT for better career.

A guest lecture on Fanuc Robotics was conducted for the Automobile Engineering students on 11.07.2016 from 09.30am to 1.30 pm. Their engineers presented the usage of robotics in automotive field and their coding techniques.

Department of Automobile Engineering associated itself with Dr.Sivakumar, Associate Professor, Dept of Automobile Engineering, Kumaraguru College of Technology conducted a guest lecture on Being a better Automobile Engineer in Vishveshwaraya Hall, Karpagam University on 01.07.2016 from 09.30am to 3.30pm. He gave a lecture on various engines which are currently being in operation. The afternoon session was about being a better manager and conducted mock interviews to the students to eliminate their interview fear. The students actively came forward and particpated.

A guest lecture on automotive powertrains and its allied components was conducted on 08/02/2016 in Visweswraya Hall for 132 students of Automobile Engineering by Mr. Prashanth Balasubramanium,              Engi neer, Hinduja  T echnologies. He emphasized the need for analysis tool in automotive tools and gave tips on careers as well.

Mr.S.Ajit Nair,CFD Analyst  Robert   Bosch ,CBE presented a seminar to the students of Automobile Engineering and Aerospace Engineering on 30/01/2016 in MBA Seminar Hall.He gave the students a vision on approaching analytical problems in Automotive Industry through CFD.

A guest lecture on renewable energy solutions was organised and conducted by Automobile Engineering Department on 22.01.2016 in Visweswaraya Hall.  Vimal Kumar Eswarlal, CEO, Mangala Smart Energy Solutions Pvt ltd,  addressed the students. The students found the topic to be new to their area and expressed desire to learn more in the field and asked for opportunity for Inplant Training in their Industry

A guest lecture was organized by the Department of Automobile Engineering on 20th January 2016 in Vivsweraya Hall along with A+ CADD Centre . Students were introduced to the world of mechanical design and certain shortcuts were given to the st udents. The duration of guest lecture was form 9.00a.m to 1.00pm
